How can you get involved by volunteering?
Our members are encouraged to get involved, as volunteering gives them opportunities to develop their professional and personal skills outside their day to day activities. Our members volunteer in a variety of different ways, including:
- Helping organise meetings and events for their Local Network or a particular Technical Network
- Promoting IET activities in schools, colleges, universities and workplaces
- Starting an IET On Campus group at their university
- Reviewing papers in their particular area of expertise
- Speaking at a Local Network meeting
- Being an IET mentor
- Contributing to government consultations
