There are many challenges which city administration has to manage like covering economic growth, social inclusion, biodiversity, pollution control, energy, water gas, public health, education, investments, industries etc.
In India, city administration mostly uses pre-defined policies, processes, regulations, laws and acts.
Cities have implemented information systems by automating so many procedures and policies however, the technologies being used by city administration are old.
They have not yet leveraged the potential of the latest digital technologies like Mobile, Social, Analytics, Cloud, IoT, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies.
Cities have not yet designed digital technology blueprint, governance and architecture to re-imagine and re-engineer their governance and services and build digital age software applications and infrastructure.
They are still in the e-governance era and have not yet transitioned to the Digital governance era.
How do technologies like AI, IoT and Blockchain make city administration autonomous and seamless?
