The shelf life of skills has drastically shortened and with technology changing exponentially over the last few years, skills that were picked up at the beginning of the career have become obsolete by mid-career. In order to remain employable and relevant, professionals and students need to reskill to take advantage of new opportunities.
IET India along with the British High Commission’s UK India Tech Partnership conducted a roundtable to discuss perspectives, challenges and opportunities around the AI skilling landscape. Challenges around curriculum, content, access, availability as well as perceived end results of gaining AI skills were some of the many issues that were discussed. We had close to 300 attendees participate from 7 countries like India, Sri Lanka, United States of America, Kuwait, United Kingdom, Singapore and Turkey.
